Historic Preservation Certificate Program

The College of Built Environments at the University of Washington offers a college wide Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation. This certificate is open to all UW graduate students. In addition to course work required by ones major, this certificate places emphasis on course work that creates a breadth of knowledge in preservation, related developments in the field, as well as addressing issues with identifying, evaluating, and protecting cultural resources. Requirements to earn this certificate include 18-19 preservation related courses, along with a capstone or thesis project that has a preservation aspect.
